Salesian High School seeks a dynamic individual, knowledgeable about the Catholic faith, young people and youth ministry, to serve as its next Coordinator of Youth Ministry (CYM). The CYM is responsible for the pastoral ministry of the school, including school liturgies, student retreats, the school service program. The CYM works with a youth ministry team composed of students and faculty members. There is also a part-time assistant to work with the service program.
Salesian High School is a school of 500+ young men (grades 9-12) in New Rochelle, NY, a suburb of New York City. Most of the students are residents of New York City (the Bronx and Manhattan) and Westchester County. The school has a strong tradition of youth ministry, and a strong Catholic and Salesian identity. In addition to support from the school administration, there is a network of coordinators of youth ministry in all the Salesian schools of the eastern United States as well as a province director of youth ministry.
