Diocese of Sioux City seeks Catholic in good standing with experience as Superintendent of Schools for this 24 county area of NW Iowa. The schools are State accredited & all have high standards of academic excellence. The Superintendent is responsible for the implementation of the goals/objectives of the Bishop & The Office of Education in each school of the Diocese. He/she provides expertise to empower school administrators to provide quality academic programs within a Catholic environment. Candidate must have Educational Specialist or Ph.D. degree w/ emphasis in curriculum, school improvement strategies & staff development / assessment. The successful candidate has 5+ years of teaching /admin exp in education with demonstrated leadership, organizational & collaborative skills. Must be a Catholic in good standing with Educational Specialist or Ph.D. degree and emphasis in curriculum, school improvement strategies and evaluation and assessment of school programs. Five or more years of teaching experience with administrator experience in education. Must have or qualify for State of Iowa Administrator certification, including the administrator’s evaluation credentials.
Must possess proven leadership, organizational and collaborative skills with emphasis on planning and managing a variety of functions in both individual and team settings. Demonstrated ability to formulate and implement processes with many interrelated components. Strong communication skills, able to communicate with staff, parishioners, and administrative boards and committees.
