St. Mary Catholic School in Janesville, Wisconsin is seeking a full-time principal for the 2017-18 school year. The PK-8 school of approximately 130 students is WRISA accredited and has dedicated faculty and staff who are passionate about teaching and learning.
The principal is responsible for fostering a community of faith and learning based on Gospel values and Catholic teaching, supervising faculty and staff, and maintaining a close relationship with Pastor, the Parish Education Commission, and the Office of Catholic Schools to ensure that our school has an environment that is safe and that is conductive to quality teaching and learning.
St. Mary School has been serving students and families in Janesville since 1913. We offer a faith-based, rigorous curriculum that prepares students for success in high school and in life.
The successful candidate should possess dynamic leadership skills, demonstrate excellent communication skills, display knowledge of curriculum and instruction with a focus on continuously improving student learning, be a practicing Catholic in good standing and hold or be working toward a Master’s degree in Educational Administration or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience is required. Prior successful administrative experience, preferably in a Catholic school, is desirable but not required.
