The Diocese of Manchester is currently seeking a highly-qualified, visionary leader to serve as its Associate Superintendent of Catholic Schools. The Associate Superintendent supports and sustains an educational program imbued with Gospel values and committed to academic excellence. in addition to managerial responsibilities (teacher certification, diocesan curriculum standard development, principal evaluation, and standardized testing) the Associate Superintendent will be a key stakeholder in guiding teacher professional growth, leadership development, and school improvement plans. The ideal candidate will be an inspirational, passionate advocate for Catholic education, demonstrate an authentic commitment to the various dimensions of Catholic school identity, and an awareness of the unique challenges of Catholic school leadership amid a changing educational landscape. The Associate Superintendent is a key member of a highly-collaborative diocesan team with a strong vision for the future of Catholic education in the State of New Hampshire.
Candidates for the position must possess a minimum of a master's degree in educational administration, but a Ph.D. or an Ed.D is preferred. The ideal candidate will be certified or capable of acquiring certification from the NH Department of Education within a reasonable time frame. Candidates must have at least three to five years of successful experience as a principal or central office administrator, preferable in a Catholic school system, and must be an active member of a parish or faith community in good standing with the Roman Catholic Church.
