The Finance Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Finance Manager supervises the accounting department and is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end compilation preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities. In addition, the Finance Manager will oversee system-wide registration of students and all aspects of tuition invoicing/collecting. The Finance Manager will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Schools and will report on a monthly basis to the Finance Committee and School Board. This position requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal; strong organizational skills; time management skills; and a willingness/ability to follow Catholic Social Teachings as dictated by the Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau.
Education BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, Master’s Degree and/or CPA preferred
Technical Skills and Prior Experience
Three - five years’ experience working in a not-for-profit environment (preferably school-related)
Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -pace setting. Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
