Holy Cross High School located in Midland, TX will open in the Fall of 2018 and is currently seeking an experienced Catholic School Administrator to oversee its establishment. This unique opportunity will require the administrator to work with the corporate board in setting up the school which will include hiring, purchasing equipment and supplies, meeting with potential donors, preparing schedules and necessary forms, establishing extracurricular activities including sports, setting up the admissions process and accepting 9th and 10th grade students for the opening. The school will serve the youth of the Permian Basin and will be the first Catholic high school in the area. It is an economically diverse population with a strong Catholic identity. The principal will also work with the corporate board to prepare the school for a provisional accreditation visit by the Texas Catholic Conference Accreditation Commission in the Fall of 2018.
The administrator must possess an earned Master's degree in Educational Administration or an earned Master's degree in the educational field with 18 semester hours in administration/ supervision. State certification is preferred. Minimum of 3 years experience of successful teaching and administration is required. The candidate must also be a practicing Catholic who is able to fully participate in the sacramental life of the Church.
