The Middle School Dean is responsible for the entire Middle School program, which includes Grade 5 as well as Grades 6-8. S/he provides pedagogical, professional, and spiritual leadership for the Middle School and supervises/supports faculty. With the Principal of the school, s/he oversees the progress of students and the development of a balanced and varied curriculum. S/he serves as primary articulator for Middle School programming, expectations, and behavioral guidelines. A member of the all-school Administrative Team, s/he works closely with other school leaders to continue to implement the school’s strategic initiatives, manage the budget, and develop the school’s policies and calendar.
Demonstrated commitment to the mission of Catholic education.
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in educational administration, supervision, curriculum development, or education or be in the process of obtaining degree/certification.
Three or more years of teaching experience in a Catholic school.
Maryland certification or completing coursework towards eligibility for Principal (ADMIN I/II).
Able to model Christian values and adhere to the teachings of the Church. Practicing Roman Catholic preferred.
Additional Salary Information: Salary will be commensurate with level of relevant education as well as experience.
