St. Anthony School is looking for a principal for our High School. We're seeking a dynamic and self-motivated principal dedicated to advancing our vision of academic excellence through collaborative student learning communities, based on Catholic values and identity in order to meet the needs of our 21st century learner.
Duties and responsibilities
•Promulgates and safeguards the Catholic Identity of St. Anthony School by ensuring a rich sacramental and morally responsible learning environment, rigorous academic instruction consistent with the classical teachings of the Church.
•Ensures authentic Orthodox Catholic teaching is present at all levels and throughout all activities; this includes: promoting the sanctity of and respect for human life, defense of marriage, preferential option for the poor, and promotion of religious and priestly vocations.
•Ensures rigorous academic instruction consistent with classical Church teaching; this includes offering a curriculum aligned to and designed to promote post-secondary education, vocational school, and military service.
•Supports faculty and staff as they identify individual student needs and promote highest possible learning outcomes as measured by academic test scores, graduation rates, sacramental and interior life, religious vocations, and community service.
• Recruits and retains qualified educators aligned to the mission and purpose of the school. Facilitates individual goal setting, outcome measurements, regular and annual evaluations. Ensures faculty and staff accountability including disciplinary and correctional matters or dismissal when appropriate.
•Annually prepares, monitors and evaluates the School budget (for operational areas) in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Committee.
•Reports to the President, Pastor and Board of Directors regarding all areas of responsibility.
•Ensures accreditation and compliance with Archdiocesan and State instructional standards.
•Directly supervise Vice and Assistant Principals, Deans and Faculty members.
•Assists in the preparation of School policy, procedures and guidelines, including annual review of school, student and parent handbooks.
•Serves as a liaison to the Archdiocese, NCEA, district 14 and other regional professional associations.
•Oversees faculty professional development and performance improvement plans.
•Serves as a liaison to parents and community members.
