This role exists to support and implement the mission of Magnificat High School. The Director of Student Support Services, School Psychologist works in collaboration with the counseling and student support services teams to promote the social and emotional wellbeing of students and families throughout the Magnificat community. This position performs specialized psychological work in an educational setting to enable students to achieve optimal learning. The Director of Student Support Services, School Psychologist is someone who embraces the school’s mission, values and history with the ability to effectively communicate, counsel, conduct and interpret psychological and educational testing, and collaborate with faculty, staff, parents, administrators, outside providers and students.
One full time position is available for the 2018/2019 school year. This full time position is eligible for the medical, dental, and vision health plans.
Required qualifications and experience:
Master’s Degree in School Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Applied Psychology; a Doctorate in Psychology is preferred.
Appropriate Certificate and Licensure as required.
At least 5 years of experience as a school psychologist.
Knowledge of developmental needs of adolescent women, therapeutic treatment modalities, behavioral management systems, and programs designed for the social-emotional growth of students.
Strong background of developmental expectations and learning difference in adolescent women
Knowledge of ODE laws and practices, specific knowledge on John Peterson Scholarship, 504, and IDEA preferred
