Pinecrest Academy (Cumming, GA) is seeking positive, enthusiastic, and engaging teacher applicants to fill the position of High School Math Teacher beginning in the 2018-2019 academic year
At a minimum, candidates must:
Hold a degree in Mathematics,
Hold a valid teaching certificate,
Have experience in teaching Math at the high school or collegiate level,
Demonstrate ability to teach all levels of Math ranging from Algebra 1 through Calc BC
Demonstrate excellent organizational skills
Have excellent integrity and demonstrate sound moral character and initiative,
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of curriculum development and program evaluation, organization of the content field, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning,
Exhibit enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community,
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary,
Demonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and instruction.
The ideal candidate will also be a practicing Roman Catholic, who embraces the mission and philosophy of Pinecrest Academy. Ability to coach a sport is a plus. A competitive salary/benefit package is available.
