De La Salle North Catholic High School seeks a strong and inspirational leader to serve as its next President. De La Salle North Catholic High School opened in 2001 to provide a faith-based, Catholic college preparatory high school education for underserved students from the Portland area. The school enrolls over 300 students and more than 85% receive tuition assistance. The coed student body enjoys an average class size of 19 and a student to teacher ratio of 11:1. De La Salle was the first school to replicate the innovative Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) from the Cristo Rey model. Students at De la Salle North Catholic High School attend class four days per week and work for a local company or nonprofit organization one day each week. The CWSP provides work experience and business contacts and helps offset the cost to educate the students. De La Salle North Catholic High School exists to provide this unique educational opportunity for families who would not be able to afford a private, Catholic education. The goal is to develop tomorrow’s community leaders by making high-quality education accessible to motivated young people in a learning environment that values cultural, spiritual, and ethnic diversity. A nation-wide, independent rating agency has identified De La Salle North Catholic as the most diverse private high school in Oregon. In 2017, 100% of the students were accepted to college.
