Bishop England High School in Charleston, SC is looking for experienced teachers to fill the following positions in the 2018-2019 school year:
Math teacher that has taught algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
Computer Science teacher that has experience with teaching the Microsoft suite, programming, and basic computer science topics like interface design, limits of computers, data analysis, web design, and programming, as well as societal and ethical issues in computing.
Theology teacher with either a Bachelors or Master's degree in Catholic theology, or an experienced teacher who has taught in a Catholic high school.
Bishop England High School is the oldest and largest Catholic secondary school in the Diocese of Charleston and is often called the “Flagship” school of the Diocese. Bishop England High School has a highly qualified faculty and staff with 73% of our classroom teachers holding a Master’s degree or higher. The school has a 99% graduation rate with 98% of graduates continuing their education at a college or university. Bishop England High School offers 13 Advanced Placement (AP) courses and 47 Honors courses. The school achieved a 90% passage rate on AP tests for 4 of the last 5 years, with over 60% of AP students earning a score of 4 or better this past school year. The school’s nationally recognized athletic program, with over 135 State Championships, won 9 State Championships during the 2016-2017 school year.
Teacher certification is preferred but not required. Content teachers must have a teaching degree or major/minor in the content.
