HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL:
Bourgade Catholic High School, Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking an enthusiastic, visionary, qualified administrator with strong leadership and commitment to and experience in Catholic education for the 2018-2019 school year.
Founded in 1962, Bourgade Catholic, named after Archbishop Peter Bourgade, the first bishop for the Diocese, is a college preparatory high school in Phoenix, Arizona, that educates the hearts and minds of students in the Catholic tradition and in partnership with families to be servant leaders and stewards of the Gospel. Offering a college preparatory curriculum, the school serves the urban community of the central and west greater Phoenix area. The School’s goal seeks to educate its students to be integrated individuals who are spiritually centered Christians, academically prepared students, lifelong learners, effective Communicators and globally aware citizens.
Candidate must be an active, practicing Catholic, faithful to the Church’s magisterium, have successful professional experience in school administration, possess a Master’s degree in Educational Administration or related field, and able to be certified by the State of Arizona as a principal. The successful candidate will be a strong spiritual and educational leader with excellent communication and public relation skills who is able to build morale around philosophy and mission of the school. Candidates should possess a vision of education for the 21st century that includes a focus on Catholic identity, academics, curriculum and instruction, special education programs, instructional technology, as well as knowledge of financial and human resource management; a solid understanding of traditional Catholic liberal arts is desirable. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of publics: students, teachers and staff, parents, alumni, community supporters, local pastors and elementary school principals. Candidate must understand Catholic high school students, and be committed to assisting students in the pursuit of academic excellence, strong moral formation, and intentional discipleship. The Principal will report directly to the Diocesan Superintendent.
