?San Gabriel Mission High School, a MSJ Dominican and Claretian, Catholic girls’ parish college preparatory high school located in San Gabriel, CA, is looking for a creative Catholic to lead its Campus Ministry program. This position includes planning and facilitating all Liturgies and para-liturgical services as well as planning, facilitating directing, and attending grade level retreats including the 12th grade Kairos Retreat, elementary school retreats, and summer retreat with the Campus Ministry student Team. This dynamic individual will also moderate and work closely with the Campus Ministry Student Leadership Team which includes attendance on the Dominican Preaching Conference in late June in Michigan and the summer leadership development retreat in late July in Fremont, CA. Collaborative oversight with the Assistant Principal of Student Life as a spiritual leader for the faculty, staff, and students as well as to development of the Catholic Identity of the entire campus is paramount and includes further collaboration with the Religion Department, Service Learning Coordinator, JAM for LIFE moderator, and Music Minister. In addition to Campus Ministry responsibilities, the Campus Minister will teach also 3 sections of Religion. As a member of the faculty/staff of San Gabriel Mission High School, you will play a key role in our Mission and Vision which includes our Marketing and Development initiatives.

The candidate to be a currently practicing Catholic
Up-to-date knowledge of and familiarity with Roman Catholic teaching and liturgical practices
An undergraduate degree in Catholic Theology, Religious Studies, Pastoral Ministry or equivalent (an MA in the same is desirable)
High School Religion Teacher Certification
2-4 years’ campus ministry experience, preferably at the high school level
Creativity and experience developing student leadership and ministerial skills
Ability to develop and foster positive relationships with students, faculty, and parents
Strong organizational, communication, and community-building skills
