St. Paul Catholic School is now accepting resumes for consideration for the position of Full-Time certified Media Communications Teacher for the 2018-19 school year. This is a combined position of Technology Instructor and Media Communications Development for the school. A part-time position in either area will also be considered.
The teaching position includes teaching PreK3-5th grade technology courses and two middle school electives in Yearbook and Digital News Journal. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, flexible, current in latest teaching methods and ISTE standards, comfortable teaching PreK3 thru middle school age levels, have good class management, and have the ability to collaborate with other staff members. Knowledge and experience with Chromebooks and the Google Platform, Adobe programs, coding for children, Ozobots, Lego Robotics, 3D Printers, and Interactive Smart Boards is desirable. Must be able to be certified in Florida if certified in another state.
The Media Communications Developer will create communications for events for school website, social media, and print. This position will design and create the weekly newsletter with contributions from the teacher and send to the principal to edit and distribute. Responsible to organize article contributions and photos from other teachers to send to various outlets in and around the Pensacola area. Candidate must be adept at using social media in a positive and creative manner and have the ability to update website weekly with newsletter and other information as necessary.
