Catholic Theological Union (CTU), one of the largest Catholic graduate schools of theology and ministry in the U.S., is seeking a director to oversee the Institute of Religious Formation (IRF) and Hesburgh Sabbatical Programs. The mission of the IRF program is to prepare men and women for the ministry of formation. The mission of the Hesburgh program is to provide a curriculum-centered, community-based, holistic sabbatical that fosters both personal and professional renewal and provides continuing formation for ministers in the Church. The director collaborates with the associate director of the IRF/Hesburgh programs in fulfilling the mission of both programs. The position reports to the Vice President and Academic Dean.
Through a collaborative effort with the CTU administration, the director is responsible for the leadership and management of all aspects of both programs including budgeting, marketing, advertising, fundraising, academics and hosting the participants throughout the course of both programs. The successful candidate will have earned MDiv, MAPS, or MA in Theology degree and at has least five years’ experience in adult formation. Preference will be given to a vowed religious.
