The University of St. Michael’s College, federated with the University of Toronto, is conducting an extensive international search for a President and Vice-Chancellor and invites expressions of interest, applications and nominations.

The President is the senior executive officer of the University of St. Michael’s College and is responsible to its governing body, the Collegium, for its academic and administrative operation. The President provides inspirational, strategic, academic and financial leadership, and works co-operatively within St. Michael’s and with the University of Toronto to strengthen and expand its programs and activities in ways that exemplify its Catholic character and mission. The President will effectively represent St. Michael’s with its Catholic constituency and the external community to advance its mission and vision, increase its resources and well being, and raise its profile locally, provincially and nationally.
The President and Vice-Chancellor will be a visionary and strategic academic leader with a demonstrated commitment to students, outstanding interpersonal skills, and the executive leadership ability to guide the affairs of the overall institution. Candidates will have a personal vision of Catholic education and its place within a pluralistic society, a collegial working style, experience or interest in advancement, and the ability to further the interests of St. Michael’s with both internal and external constituencies.
The search committee will begin considering potential candidates immediately and will continue until the role is successfully filled. St. Michael’s is committed to the principles of employment equity and welcomes applications from and nominations of all qualified individuals.
