Director Religious Education (DRE) is responsible for the development, implementation, delivery, and overall administration of Spiritual Growth programs (Adult, RCIA, Youth, and Children’s Faith Formation Programs which include Sacramental Preparation). St Mark Parish is in the coastal town of Wilmington, NC serving ~2,500 registered families and a school with over 500 children PreK- 8th grade. Practicing Roman Catholic, in good standing, with motivational leadership skills.
Master's Degree preferred or equivalent in Theology or Religious Education.
Experience in the field of catechesis, planning and programming.
Familiarity with the catechumenal process and lectionary-based catechesis.
Experience with Sacramental Preparation for Confirmation, First Penance, and First Communion.
Awareness of church teaching and trends in the fields of the catechumenate (RCIA), liturgy, adult catechesis, evangelization, and canon law.
Knowledge of human and financial resource management.
Possess motivational leadership, communication, and relationship building people skills
Additional Salary Information: Working Conditions:
1.This is a full-time 40 hour a week FLSA-EXEMPT position. Because of seasonality and the demands of the liturgical calendar, it is understood that these hours will not be ratably spaced throughout the year.
2.SALARY: Competitive based on experience, skills, and results with annual reviews.

After one year of employment you receive, 10 days paid annual vacation, after five years 15 days, after 10 years 20 days. You receive seven days annual sick leave (maximum accrued 15 days) and two personal days each year that do not accumulate.
